The Western Colorado Migrant Rural Coalition and The Learning Council hosted and organized the third Annual Festival Agricola on Friday, September 6, with sponsorship and support from the Town of Olathe, the Olathe Police Department, Colorado Health Foundation, KVNF radio station, and River Valley Family Health Centers.
Danza Azteca performed a dance to commemorate and celebrate Mexican heritage, while Clave Cinco provided live music, combining the traditional and modern in one evening. The Colorado Department of Agriculture, as well as other local food merchants, attended the event.
We were thrilled to see such a large attendance from the community in honor of some of its most significant members and their essential contributions to our food system.
