Nourishing the Community in More Ways Than One

The TLC Kitchen is the beating heart of The Hearth, where locally grown food transforms into nourishing meals, where farmers and community members meet at the table, and where we put our deepest values into practice. Everyone deserves good food.

Food Equity & The Gift Model

We operate on a pay-what-you-can Gift Model, ensuring that every member of our community has access to healthy, delicious, locally sourced food. We purchase produce directly from local farmers year-round, aiming to support a more stable farm income while keeping our community nourished in every season. In 2025, TLC Kitchen served over 7,000 meals and invested over $68,000 directly into our local agricultural economy, with 80%+ locally sourced and organic ingredients in every dish.

TLC Kitchen & Market

Step into the TLC Kitchen & Market and you will find the best of the North Fork Valley all in one place. We stock locally grown produce year-round alongside an ever-changing selection of locally made products from jams, salsas, ferments, and honey to nixtamalized chips, homemade sourdough crackers, fruit leathers, specialty vinegars, and house chai blends. Enjoy chilled herbal infusions, hot tea, or coffee, and treat yourself to a scoop of locally made Third Bowl Ice Cream. You will also find beeswax candles, community meals, and so much more. Every purchase supports local farmers, makers, and the food equity work that keeps our kitchen running. Come taste what this valley has to offer.

Learning in the Kitchen

The kitchen is also a living classroom. Volunteers, school groups, and community members come through our doors to prepare meals, learn new recipes, explore herbal remedies, and deepen their connection to local, seasonal food. There is so much joy in sharing the food that we make together!
