Volunteer With Us

Your Time is a Gift That Keeps the Cycle of Reciprocity Flowing

At The Learning Council, every individual has something to offer. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our programs, showing up in the kitchen, in the classroom, in the garden, and at events to help make our community stronger, more connected, and more nourished.

Volunteering with TLC is an act of reciprocity. We operate on a Gift Economy, meaning all of our events, meals, and resources are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis so that everyone in our community can access them. When you give your time, you help sustain that model.

Where You Can Help

TLC volunteers support a wide range of programs and initiatives from cooking in the TLC Kitchen and helping to set up events like the Arbol Farmers Market, to assisting with arts education, agricultural projects, wellness events, cultural celebrations, and community outreach like hanging flyers. Whether you can give a few hours once or show up regularly, your contribution matters.
